Monday Morning Thoughts

Only the brave dared to enter the danger zone yesterday.  In spite of the overcast weather we had a lot of fun soaking each other.  There is something so satisfying about drenching someone who is dry.

During our gathering we did something a little different than normal, we replaced the sermon with an opportunity for people to come up and share something that God is doing in their life.  About eight came up and shared.  A common theme in the stories was that whenever they tried to live life for themselves or with their own understanding things didn't go well.  However, when they surrendered their life/choices to God, things worked out for good.  Simple lesson, but one we need everyday.

In reflection of Sunday, my hope is that the following is accomplished:
  1. We are encouraged to step forward in the faith.
  2. We are encouraged to share our stories with one another.
  3. We will step forward in creating a culture for openness, family ministry, and sharing.
  4. We integrate more personal stories in our gatherings.
If you would ever like to share something in one of our gatherings, please call or email me and we'll see how it can be communicated.  Next Sunday, we'll be back in the Word and hopefully hear another personal story in our gathering!

Have a great week... be bold.
